Yvonne McIntyre is Vice President of Federal Affairs for Calpine Corporation. She is responsible for developing, managing and implementing federal legislative and regulatory strategies for the Company. She lobbies Members of Congress, the Administration, regulatory agencies, and their perspective staff on various issues, with a particular focus on energy and environmental issues. Ms. McIntyre has worked in the field of government relations for 21 years and in the power industry for 27 years. Prior to Calpine, she worked in government affairs for Mirant Corporation, Kansas City Power and Light, and DTE Energy. She has worked extensively on issues relating to national energy policy, Clean Air Act, climate change, and renewable energy technologies. Ms. McIntyre began her professional career with Detroit Edison as an electrical engineer working in power plants and distribution systems service centers. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, MI and a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in International Business from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
Ms. McIntyre is a member of various professional, social and community organizations. She resides in Washington, DC with her husband Patrick Grobbel and their two children.
