Todd Sandford

Todd Sandford is Vice President of Energy Solutions and Customer Operations for Direct Energy Business. In his Energy Solutions role, he is responsible for driving Direct Energy Business’ growth via non-commodity offerings including solar, energy efficiency, demand response, compressed natural gas, and various risk management products. In his Customer Operations role, he is responsible for transaction management, and billing and collections of circa $10b in retail revenues. Todd has been with Direct Energy since 2003, during which time he has held senior roles in customer operations, finance, sales, small business, and energy services. Todd spent three years with Direct Energy Business’ sister company in the UK, British Gas Business. In the UK, Todd ran sales for British Gas Business’ industrial and commercial customer segment and oversaw its Energy Services Business. Prior to joining Direct Energy, Todd held a senior operations role for The NewPower Company (a retail energy company), spent six years as a management consultant with both Arthur Andersen and Stone & Webster, and started his career with Public Service Electric & Gas Company. Todd earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University. Todd lives with his wife and two daughters in Pittsburgh, PA.
