Mauricio Tiomno Tolmasquim, Production Engineer, Economist, Master in Energy Planning UFRJ, PhD in Development Economics from École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales - EHESS / Paris. He is the CEO of the Energy Research Office (EPE), member of the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE), member of the Monitoring Committee of the Electricity Sector (CMSE).
He was Deputy Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), Coordinator of the group of technical design and implementation of institutional reform of the electricity sector, member of the working group that drafted the new regulatory framework of the pre-salt.
He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, he was awarded the Degree of Grand Officer of the Order of Rio Branco, and he is the organizer, the author and coauthor of 20 books and more than a hundred technical articles.
