Maryrose T. Sylvester

Maryrose Sylvester is President and CEO of Current, powered by GE — a first-of-its kind energy company that integrates GE’s LED, Solar, Energy Storage and Electric Vehicle businesses with its industrial strength Predix platform to deliver cost effective, efficient energy solutions.

Her career at GE began in 1987 at GE Motors in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She joined GE Lighting in the Sourcing operation and throughout the years held positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Sourcing for GE Lighting Europe and General Manager of Worldwide Sourcing. She also served as General Manager for Global High Intensity Discharge before being named President and CEO of GE Lighting Systems. Since October of 2015, she is the President and CEO of Current.

Sylvester is a member of GE's Corporate Executive Council, GE’s Commercial Council and she was instrumental in helping launch the GE Women’s Network. She is Vice Chair of the Board of Governors, and sits on the board for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. She serves on the board for the Foundation Fighting Blindness, the Greater Cleveland Partnership, Hathaway Brown School and the United Way of Greater Cleveland.
