Justin Rencurel

Justin Rencurel serves as Director of Strategic Planning for Spectra Energy.  He is responsible for compiling key strategic rationale and documents to be provided to the Board of Directors as part of the normal strategic planning process.  His role also entails formalizing a strategy with each of Spectra Energy’s business units that also are shared with the Board of Directors annually.  The Strategic Planning organization is also responsible for developing key industry partnerships, new business opportunities, reviewing long-term strategic issues with senior management, and assisting other business units with strategic and competitive insight on new growth projects.

Prior to his role as Director of Strategic Planning, Mr. Rencurel has held positions in mergers and acquisitions, US gas storage marketing, and as a commercial associate in investor relations and corporate business development. 

Justin has 16 years of experience in the energy industry.  Prior to joining Spectra Energy in 2007, Justin was a manager of planning and performance at Royal Dutch Shell’s Downstream business and held several analytical and marketing roles at Boardwalk Energy. 

Mr. Rencurel received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Eastern New Mexico University.
