Chris O’Brien

Chris O’Brien is Alternative Energy Fellow for Flex Energy Solutions at Flex (NASDAQ: FLEX). Flex is a $26B, Fortune Global 500, industry leading sketch-to-scale™ solutions company that designs and builds intelligent products for a connected world. With more than 200,000 professionals across 30 countries and a promise to help make the world Live Smarter™, the company provides innovative design, engineering, manufacturing, real-time supply chain insight and logistics services to companies of all sizes in various industries and end-markets.

In his current role, Mr. O’Brien is responsible for global business development, policy advocacy and market analysis in support of Flex’ $1.5 billion Energy Solutions business.

Prior to joining Flex, Mr. O’Brien held a variety of executive roles in the solar industry for over 20 years. He was Head of Global Market Development for Oerlikon Solar, VP for Policy and Government Relations for Sharp Solar, and VP for Corporate Business Development for BP Solar. Prior to his career in solar, Chris worked for U.S. EPA as program manager for the Energy Star Buildings Program, and for AES Corporation as a project development manager. He has also played an active industry leadership role as a board member (and past Chairman) of SEIA, as well as ACORE and Fresh Energy.

Mr. O’Brien holds AB and BE degrees from Dartmouth College, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
