Angelina Galiteva

Founder, Renewables 100 Policy Institute; Member of the Board, CAISO

Angelina Galiteva was appointed by California’s Governor and confirmed by the State Senate to the 5 member Board of Governors of the California Independent System Operator Corporation in 2011 and again in 2014. The Independent System Operator is responsible for the reliable operation of the power grid in the state of California and for the efficient operation of the electricity market, including the integration of renewable energy project as mandated by State Law.

Ms. Galiteva works to structure and advance the implementation of cutting edge energy policies that reflect the increasing role of renewable energy, storage, mobility and distributed energy technologies worldwide. In the NGO arena, she is the founder and Chair of the Board for the Renewables 100 Policy Institute and also serves as the Chairperson for the World Council for Renewable Energy.

Ms. Galiteva’s industry experience spans from serving as a Principal at NEOptions, Inc., a renewable energy and new technology product design firm to the utility sector where she worked as the  Executive Director of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as well as the New York Power Authority.  Ms. Galiteva is an attorney and holds a J.D. and LLM Degrees, specializing in Environmental and Energy Law.
