In 2015, Andrew de Pass was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Conergy and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company.

Prior to this position, Andrew led Conergy’s financial turnaround as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Conergy (Kawa Solar Holdings, Ltd.). From his role at Kawa Capital Management, Inc., Andrew led the acquisition of Conergy in 2013 and took a hands-on approach to restructuring and strengthening the Company. Andrew took Conergy from near insolvency to nearly half a billion in revenue in just over a year.

Andrew has over two decades of experience in private equity and renewable energy investing, having managed or invested over $1.3B of capital in infrastructure assets and growth companies in North America, South America and Asia over the course of his career. At Kawa Capital Management, Inc., Andrew was responsible for the origination, execution and management of Kawa’s private (non-real estate) investments, with a focus on renewable energy infrastructure assets.

Between 2009 and early 2012, Andrew held a number of senior positions at Greentech Capital Advisors including Partner, Senior Advisor and Advisory Council Member.

In 1996, Andrew started at Citigroup and was named managing director in 1998 at Citi Venture Capital International. He was the founder and head of Citigroup’s Sustainable Development Investments (SDI) group, a private equity team within Citi Alternative Investments that invested in growth companies in renewable energy, waste and water management, carbon and sustainable products and materials sectors.

Prior to Citi, Andrew worked at Morgan Stanley from 1989 to 1996 where he held positions in the M&A, Restructuring, Equity Capital Markets and Equity Derivatives departments. While at Morgan Stanley, Andrew worked in New York, Hong Kong and Toronto.

Andrew graduated in 1989 from The Richard Ivey School of Business Administration at the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Business Administration, and was awarded the Gold Medal. He received the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst in 1998.
