Principal Specialist, Powertrain & Regulation, Toyota Technical Center

Amy Stanley is a Principal Specialist at Toyota Technical Center (TTC) based in York Township, Michigan.  TTC is Toyota’s North American R&D center and is a division of Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). In this position, Amy is responsible for TMNA’s North American powertrain research including social policy, customer market, competitor strategy and technology trends spanning from conventional combustion engines to fuel cell vehicles with an outlook to 2030.  This research serves as the basis for powertrain plan development.

Amy joined Toyota in 1996 and has accumulated cross-functional experience in Customer Relations, Warranty and Engineering Design Administration roles.  In addition, Amy has coordinated strategy initiatives for the Powertrain division.  While in Product Planning, Amy was Co-planner of the second generation Prius.

Amy Stanley earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from the Universities of California; Berkeley and Irvine.  Amy is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Project Management Institute.
